A quiet three-reel dispatch from the Florida coast.

REFAB 3 HOMES LLC is a free social-style game published the way a small magazine prints — quarterly, in long evenings. Three reels, no currency, no prizes; just a few quiet minutes between paragraphs.

01. The Editorial Promise

A magazine that happens to spin.

Three small commitments published on the masthead. Read them in any order; we keep them in all four issues a year.

01

Always free

No subscription, no deposit, no upgrade tier. The whole edition is open. You arrive, you read a few lines, you tap the reels, you close the tab.

02

Score, not currency

The number on the panel is a number on the panel. It does not exchange for prizes, gifts, vouchers, or anything that anyone could trade for groceries.

03

Built for fifteen quiet minutes

The pacing of the page is the pacing of a coffee. We do not chase you with timers, streaks, or comeback nudges. Walk away when the cup is empty.

02. About the studio

From a Melbourne, Florida back room.

REFAB 3 HOMES LLC is published from a small back room above a stationer on Stonecrest Drive. Two designers, an editor, and a writer who makes a lot of tea. The masthead has been the same since the first issue.

The reels themselves are a side project, the way a magazine might run a horoscope or a crossword — small, quiet, mostly there for the rhythm of the page.

03. The Masthead

Three pillars on every issue.

PILLAR 01

Adults only

REFAB 3 HOMES LLC is published for readers 18 and over. The age gate is a real boundary, not a checkbox to tap past — content of this format is not appropriate for minors.

PILLAR 02

Free means free

No deposit, no premium tier, no chip pack to unlock. There is no commerce on the page. The reels are free in the same way that a printed crossword is free.

PILLAR 03

Score is editorial

The score panel is part of the page furniture, not a record being kept. Closing the tab clears it. No accounts, no leaderboards, no profiles — and no real money anywhere.

04. What's different here

Six small editorial decisions.

We made these on the first issue and have not redrawn them since. They are why the edition reads the way it reads.

01

No countdowns

No timers, no streaks, no FOMO. The reels do not punish you for stopping mid-issue. The page does not push when the page wants to be quiet.

02

A small studio

Four people on the masthead. We answer email from one address, written by a person, usually within a working day. No bots, no autoresponders.

03

No accounts

No sign-up, no login. Open the page and tap. Each visit is fresh; closing the tab is the equivalent of folding the magazine and setting it down.

04

Reads on a phone

The edition is set first for a small screen — column-width prose, 16-pixel body type, tap targets sized for thumbs, no horizontal scroll on a 380-pixel viewport.

05

Plain mechanics

Three reels. Match three matching glyphs across the line and the score increments. There is no second screen, no bonus loop, no hidden multiplier ladder.

06

Real help links

The footer carries the genuine support organisations — Gamblers Anonymous, the Responsible Gambling Council, Gordon Moody — at full size, in colour, linked out.

05. The colophon

Issue notes.

Small changes, made quietly between editions. Nothing forced, nothing dramatic. We keep the notes here so the page stays honest about what has moved.

A still life of folded back-issues on a wooden desk.
  • New

    Quieter spin animation

The reel ease has been softened by 80 milliseconds. The motion now matches the body-text scroll cadence on most phones.

  • Fixed

    Modal width on iPhone SE

The age-gate card now caps at the viewport width minus 32 pixels, so the editorial border is visible on the smallest phones we tested.

  • Refined

    Score panel kerning

The display digit gets a touch more letter-spacing. Easier to read at a glance during fast taps; less visually jittery when it climbs.

  • Updated

    Editorial pacing test

Section padding now eases up by sixteen pixels at small widths. The page reads less crowded between paragraphs on a phone in low light.

06. Reader letters

The questions desk.

Five things the email inbox asks most often, answered the way we would answer the letter on the back page.

Yes. There is no card on file, no premium tier, no time-limited demo. REFAB 3 HOMES LLC does not sell anything to anybody. The reels and every page on the site open without payment.

No. The number on the panel is a number on the panel. It does not exchange for cash, vouchers, gift cards, branded merchandise, charitable donation credits, or anything else. There is no exit point from the page where the score becomes a thing you carry away.

The visual format of a three-reel panel resembles real-money formats that minors should not interact with at all. We hold the same line — adults only, age gate respected, no exceptions.

Close the tab. Honestly. REFAB 3 HOMES LLC is supposed to read like a coffee break. If the reels feel like an obligation, that is the wrong shape for the page. The Read Safely page lists the support organisations we recommend if you want a longer conversation about it.

Yes — the edition is set first for small screens. There is no separate app to install. Tap the link, the page opens, the reels run on the same single page. Battery cost is similar to opening a longread.

07. Editorial standard

Reader-care notice.

REFAB 3 HOMES LLC is published as a free social game for adults aged 18 and over. The reels do not accept money in any form — no deposits, no in-page purchases, no subscriptions. The score panel is decorative editorial furniture; it is not a record that converts to currency, prizes, or anything redeemable.

If the page begins to feel less like a quiet break and more like an obligation, that is the signal to fold the issue and step away. The Florida helpline runs around the clock at 1-888-ADMIT-IT (1-888-236-4848), free of charge and confidential. Nationwide, the National Council on Problem Gambling runs a 24-hour confidential helpline at 1-800-522-4700; your state health authority can connect you in minutes too.

A coffee, a long paragraph, three reels, the next paragraph. The page is built around that shape. If your reading is moving faster than that, take the cue.

The masthead at REFAB 3 HOMES LLC believes that a magazine should never push a reader past their own comfort. We do not run streak counters, comeback prompts, or anniversary nudges. We do not collect the kind of behavioural data that would let us. The colophon page lists every organisation we trust on this — Gamblers Anonymous, the National Council on Problem Gambling, Gordon Moody, GambleAware — with full contact details and a one-line description, in case the reels stop being the right shape for an evening.

08. Editorial fine print

Three short notes.

No hidden mechanics

Everything visible is everything there is. No second screens, no bonus rooms behind a paywall, no surprise multiplier ladder underneath the visible reels.

Built honestly

REFAB 3 HOMES LLC is built by a small studio in Melbourne, Florida. We do not have growth investors, retention teams, or A/B tests trying to keep you on the page longer than you wanted to be there.

Read it casually

Open the issue when it suits the day. Read a paragraph, tap the reels twice, close the tab. There is no FOMO mechanic here, and no streak counter waiting to scold you for skipping a Tuesday.

REFAB 3 HOMES LLC is a free social-style game published as a quarterly editorial. No real money is involved on this page or anywhere across the issue. The site is for entertainment only and is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over.
